Lessons and Furry Friends

As sad as I am to leave the Scream team, I will cherish the incredible experiences I gained while interning here for years to come. The team took me in with open arms (and paws) and made me feel right at home. I was a bit nervous to jump into the established flow at Scream, but I knew I was accepted the moment Gordon proudly brought his Lamby to show off to me.

The culture at Scream is everything I could have wanted in a workplace. Everyone is open to new ideas and encourages creativity and I always knew help and inspiration were just around the corner. I always felt comfortable making suggestions and starting projects from scratch (this wasn’t a “coffee run” kind of internship!)

With a new client meeting on my first day and a site tour the next, I was immediately immersed in the Public Relations/Advertising culture I had dreamed of being a part of for so long. There are so many invaluable lessons to be learned from working with real-life clients and I got the chance to work with some truly incredible ones.

Throughout my time at Scream I worked on a diverse range of clients and tasks, from delivering pork chops to attending grand openings and struggling to learn the phone system (being a receptionist is definitely not in my future), there was never a dull moment. I learned a valuable lesson in each project I accomplished because of the guidance and patience I was given and feel well-versed in all things Public Relations. Because of Scream, I am more confident in taking on my future and know I will always have people cheering me on.

I leave Scream to go back to Indiana for my final year of school not only with an abundance of new knowledge but also with new friends (furry ones included). Words cannot thank you enough, Scream team, I will miss you all so much!
