Meet Camryn Walton, Scream Agency’s New PR Account Executive

We’re excited to introduce you all to Camryn Walton, PR Account Executive, and the newest member of Scream Agency. Camryn joined the Scream Agency team by way of Indianapolis and India. After a year-long sabbatical abroad, her love for the community, the outdoors and doing business for good brought her to Denver and Scream Agency to help tell the stories of brands doing good work in our communities.

Camryn graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, with a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications. She then launched into her professional career in the fast-paced world of startups, where she gained invaluable experience doing PR and communications for a variety of brands in tech, food, tourism and ecommerce.

Her desire to do business for good was ignited during a college internship with Indiana’s first certified B-corporation and then serving as the Director of Communications for a public benefit corporation.

Now let’s get to know her a bit outside of agency life…

What has been your favorite hike in CO so far?

I did a four-day backpacking trip over Labor Day weekend on the Capitol Peak – Snowmass Loop and it was incredibly challenging and rewarding. Definitely recommend!

Who would your intimate dinner party guests be?

Rachael Price from Lake Street Dive, Jane Jacobs (an urban planning legend), Kristine McDivitt (former CEO of Patagonia & public lands champion), and Maya Angelou – sensing a theme here?

What’s the biggest decision you’ve had to make in the past year? Why was it so big?

Returning back to the U.S. after traveling throughout Asia for six months. I was on a big adventure with my boyfriend, and we were at a turning point. We didn’t have to come home, and a small part of us wanted to keep traveling… but a larger part was longing to see our family and friends and enjoy some of the niceties of western culture.

Do you know your Myers Briggs type? If so what is it?
