Oct 15, 2009 - Over 1,000 Halloween characters ready to race in Wash Park
Scream Scram 5K Halloween run/walk celebrates 10 years of giving back.

DENVER, CO – Halloween characters of all kinds will be taking over Washington Park and racing for the finish line at the 10th annual Scream Scram 5K Halloween run/walk and Spooky Sneak for the kids at 6 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2009. The race benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.

Scream Agency, a Denver-based advertising and PR firm, created the race in 1999 because of a desire to raise money for MS and local charities and to encourage outdoor activities. Last year's Scream Scram attracted more than 1,000 participants and raised $8,000 for the NMSS and Sean McCauley Hope Foundation. For more race information please contact BKB Ltd. at (303) 694-2030 or visit www.screamscram.com.

For the special 10th anniversary race, the race will feature an Orange Carpet Costume Contest where costumed participants will walk the Orange Carpet to have their costumes judged and pose for pictures by the "paparazzi." As always, participants will receive a free glow in the dark T-shirt, food, candy, and the opportunity to win awesome prizes from in-kind sponsors.
