For Immediate Release Scream Agency Wins Awards For Creativity And Vision For Excellence Denver-based Advertising And PR Agency Awarded Two Prestigious Summit Creative Awards and One Art Directors Club of Denver (ADCD) Award DENVER, COLO. (June 3, 2004) — Popeye, Gumby, a kimono and iconographic snowshoes designs have brought national recognition for creativity to Scream Agency, a Denver-based full-service advertising and public relations agency.
Two bronze Summit Creative Awards and one Merit for Graphic Design from the Art Directors Club of Denver (ADCD) were recently presented to Scream Agency in commemoration of separate direct mail, advertising and graphic design campaigns. Each award represents a high standard of excellence across several award categories including: print, broadcast, online advertising, multimedia, printed material, direct mail and more. “We are pleased with the recognition we have received for our work,” said Lora Ledermann, owner of Scream Agency. “Not only did our campaigns help drive positive results for our clients, they also were worthy of national acknowledgment for creativity.” Scream Agency received a bronze Summit Creative Award for a direct mail campaign that utilized Popeye and Gumby as a way to convey the message of “strength” and “flexibility” for Maher & Maher, a New Jersey-based human resource consulting and organizational development firm. By using a “Kimono Fridays” theme, Scream Agency created an innovative advertising campaign for International Channel Networks® multicultural television content which also received a bronze Summit Creative Award. The ad showed a kimono hanging on a coat rack outside of a cubicle with the words "Dress code, schmess code" to depict the company’s expertise on multiculturalism. Scream Agency used its multimedia and graphic design expertise to create Redfeather snowshoe hangtags, which received a Merit for Graphic Design from ADCD. The Summit Creative Awards, celebrating its tenth year, was created to recognize exceptional work by marketing creative firms including advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. It is the only opportunity such firms have to compete internationally. For more information, visit http://www.summitawards.com. The ADCD chose 100 pieces out of well over 400 entries from art directors throughout the Denver area for acceptance into the show that was presented on May 21, 2004 at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colo.
