What does your marketing budget look like for 2011?

Did you cut advertising and increase your online spend? Should you? Call us if you want the real truth. In the meantime, here are a few things you should think about.

First, you should review what worked well this year ... where did you receive marketing ROI? Use that budget as your measuring point. Typically, we recommend a 4-5% marketing budget (exclude personnel costs in this number) of overall projected sales for the upcoming year in a B2B company (less in a B2C company). For aggressive growth (a stretch marketing budget), you'd want to look at the 10-15% budget of overall sales. Some of your budget depends on the sales goals, the market position and how it will be applied. If you'd like to learn more, call us and we'll help you put together the best ROI plan.
