Spring 2015 Interns Meet & Greet

For career-driven young adults like myself, internships can be a somewhat terrifying experience. You’re essentially diving headfirst–blindfolded–into an unknown environment, knowing only that you must be willing to do whatever it takes to make an impact in the office…and hopefully it’s a positive one.

Being the greenest person in the workplace adds a little bit of pressure to not only thrive professionally, but even socially. I’ve personally attempted this with an excessively smiley, I-will-willingly-get-Starbucks-for-everyone attitude. After my first day at Scream Agency, however, it became clear (thank goodness) that the feet-kissing, intern slavery stigma does not, in fact, exist everywhere.

Advertising and PR agencies are not the same as other offices. They’re better. Way better. The energy here is lighter, more creative, and even a little silly at times. Combine all that with the opportunity to gain a world of insight and know-how, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that we got pretty lucky in the internship department.

Editor’s Note: We swear we didn’t pay Marni to write this – okay, well maybe we did…

But enough about Scream Agency, let’s meet the spring interns!

Marni Caicedo, PR Spring Intern (hey, that’s me!)

Leftover pizza boxes…
