Happy Earth Month! At Scream Agency, we are thrilled to celebrate the Earth for an entire month. We believe that it’s incredibly important for everyone to take care of Mother Earth, and we know that even small actions have a large impact.
We are over halfway through Earth Month, but it’s not too late to get involved and do your part. With many local events still happening, our friends at Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) have put together a wonderful list of Earth Month related events. The Scream team was excited to volunteer with DUG for Earth Month two years ago, where we helped to prepare one of their many community gardens with friends from the B Local Colorado community. We’re looking forward to returning to DUG this year to volunteer, as we have a team volunteer day planned for early May.
If you don’t have time to volunteer, there are still many ways you can give back to Mother Earth. Outside Magazine posted a helpful list of tips on meaningful actions during Earth Month, including donating your old gear to The Gear Fix through their Gear Up, Give Back program. Another way to give back is to cut back on your car use. Riding a bike, using public transportation, and carpooling are all great ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
We hope everyone can get out and contribute to the beautiful place we get to call home. Taking care of Mother Earth doesn’t only need to happen in the month of April, you can give back all year long. We hope to see you at a volunteer event around Denver soon!
