Exploring the Meaning and Practice of Equity in the Workplace

Join us for a Virtual Session: Exploring the Meaning and Practice of Equity in the Workplace

8:30a-9:30a, Thurs. Feb. 25

This event will be on Zoom and is hosted by Equity Labs at the University of Denver.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve had the opportunity to work with the Colorado Women’s College at the University of Denver as they launched Equity Labs. We helped to develop creative, design, messaging and strategy that could amplify this important work. This year, Equity Labs and EquityIs.org joined the Graduate School of Social Work, deepening the partnerships to faculty and programming with extensive roots and expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our team will be joining one of their first virtual sessions on Thursday, Feb. 25th and we hope you can join us. The virtual event is open to any and all.

Session: Equity is…..? Exploring the Meaning and Practice of Equity in the Workplace

Presented by Chris Chopyak and Magdelana Red

What is “equity” anyway? Why is it important to create equitable workplaces? How might equity impact your organization’s productivity, bottom line, talent retention, and new employee recruitment? And if diversity, equity, and inclusion are important enough to warrant extensive coverage in HBR, Forbes, and Bloomberg, what can you be doing in your organization?

There’s no doubt these are big questions. Making workplaces equitable for all employees is challenging – and – crucial. In this 60-minute session designed for people who lead organizational change, you will:

  • Dive in to the complexities of achieving workplace equity
  • Experience the impact that systems and structures have on your ability to sustain an inclusive and diverse business
  • Apply strategies that you can incorporate right away to make meaningful shifts that benefit your culture
Get curious, be brave, and explore how equity practices can create the workplace you want to see – today.

Cost: $20
