We are thrilled to welcome McClain Stone as the newest member of the Scream team! McClain hails from Dallas, Texas; where she worked in creative marketing for an energy company before moving to a boutique agency in Dallas to work in public relations. She has worked on public relations and social media strategy for clients in hospitality, commercial real estate, non-profit, tech and education; including working on the largest JW resort in the world.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord college of Journalism and Mass Communications, with a major in Journalism Public Relations and minors in Spanish and Enterprise Studies. She now lives in Denver and is loving taking advantage of her proximity to the mountains with hiking, camping and skiing!
We sat down for a coffee chat to get to know her a bit outside of agency life…
Tell me three things I don’t know about you.
1. I can juggle
2. I never skipped a class in college, ever.
3. I studied abroad in Spain and I go by my middle name (technically that’s four).
What are you most passionate about outside of work?
Education, specifically in relation to helping advance children from underprivileged backgrounds.
What’s the biggest decision you’ve had to make in the past year? Why was it so big?
The biggest decision I made this past year was to move to Colorado in February! I moved away from my home town, Dallas and my family to try something new, and move to my dream state of CO!
Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck, or 100 duck-sized horses?
1 horse-sized duck! Assuming I get to pick my arsenal
What has been your favorite hike in CO so far?
Favorite hike ever is Pike’s Peak, I have hiked it 10 times!
