Challenge: MPOWERD created Luci®, the first inflatable solar light with the goal of making an affordable clean energy product that people could use in any situation — from outdoor camping adventures to backyard parties to everyday living for people in emerging markets without electricity.

Process: Scream Agency was hired by MPOWERD for PR and social media to tell the story of the “good” work being done by the brand. Within months, Scream Agency scheduled hundreds of media appointments at the tradeshow and received coverage in hundreds of media outlets.

Tender Belly

Challenge: With the launch of new bacon flavors (and the holidays approaching), Tender Belly wanted to find a way to get the word out. Scream Agency was hired for local and national media relations, speaking opportunities and awards.

Process: Scream Agency created “bacon drops” for local foodies to receive Tender Belly bacon. Announcement press releases and gift guide news releases were created for national media in B2B and B2C publications.

Results: Within a month, Tender Belly made it on the Today Show and was placed in foodie press including Denver Life, Eater, and Westword. And, there’s still more to come.

Challenge: In honor of World Oceans Day, our client United By Blue launched a year long campaign called #QuitSingleUse. UBB is asking individuals to take a pledge to quit single-use plastic for a full 24-hours and UBB will remove one pound of trash from the ocean per pledge.

Process: Scream Agency was hired by United By Blue to spread this message to media to increase participation. Scream Agency developed a news release and distributed the news to B2B audiences, the trades and to consumer audiences.

Results: The #QuitSingleUse received PR coverage in SNEWS, Be The Change, Business Insider, SHAPE and many more. And, thousands have taken the pledge to quit.

Element Kitchen & Cocktail

Challenge: Element Kitchen & Cocktail, a new Chef John Tesar restaurant that was opening in July 2017, wanted an experienced PR partner to get the story out about the new restaurant and bar concept.

Process: Scream Agency was hired and started by creating a “sneak peek” for local foodies and also for the new Sneekeazy cocktail lounge. Media was sent Element cutting boards and an invitation to a grand tasting (before the opening). We scheduled chef interviews both for TV and local food editors.

Results: Within weeks, Element Kitchen & Cocktail made it on two TV stations and was placed in all the foodie press including 5280, Eater, The Denver Post, Westword, Fox 31, Dining Out, 303 Magazine, Zagat and Food & Beverage magazine. Total impressions: 38,682,957 with a publicity value of $145,000.

"Southwest Plaza" shopping logo

Southwest Plaza

Challenge: Southwest Plaza, a 1.3 million square-foot shopping center, underwent a $75 million dollar renovation in April 2014 and was ready to reveal the new look, complete with new stores, before the 2015 holiday shopping season. Scream Agency was hired to reintroduce an old Colorado favorite to the masses, with a focus on local and regional shops, including a Holiday Marketplace featuring local artisans and creators.

Process: Along with Southwest Plaza’s new look came a new home for Ol’ Saint Nick with the introduction of ‘Adventure to Santa, a Dreamworks Dreamplace.’ A captivating and interactive adventure that starts with Shrek and ends with Santa; featured a 2,000 square-foot immersive experience to be enjoyed by family members of all ages. Scream Agency assisted in the unveiling of Santa’s new home with media sneak peeks and a grand celebration, kicking off the holiday season.

Results: Media efforts over the holidays totaled 13.6 million impressions with a value totaling over $645k.

The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera

Challenge: Although The Club at Cordillera has one of the most exclusive member sets and locations in Colorado, they wanted to promote their offerings and ultimately sign on new members. They needed to self-brand the new ownership and gain more members in the process.

Process: We started by creating new advertisements, updating logos, and promoting their golf and Club offerings, along with restaurants and amenities. We then used our media contacts to gain national coverage while increasing brand awareness with Golf publications and travel sources.

Results: A holistic new approach to developing the Club at Cordillera, the Lodge & Spa Hotel and hundreds of new legacy members.

"Mellow Mushroom" pizza logo

Mellow Mushroom

Challenge: Born out of the freewheeling hippie culture of the 1970s, Mellow Mushroom delivers classic southern-styled pizza and ice-cold beer in an unforgettable environment. The three Colorado locations were looking to generate brand awareness through media relations and social media to establish the locations as top destinations for craft beers, cocktails, and pizza.

Process: The locations hadn’t done many promotions in 2015 and were looking for a well-connected partner with market knowledge and that approached the project in a very non-traditional way since the restaurant is far from ordinary. Scream Agency handled media relations, including press kit materials and releases, to social media content, advertising and event planning.

Results: Throughout the course of our two-year partnership, we helped the brand stay relevant amongst its competition through work including a Brew Bus Tour during the Great American Beer Festival, media relations announcing events and new menus, e-newsletter correspondence to thousands of subscribers, and our creation of content, and creative for social campaigns. In 2015, we generated 2.98 million impressions on social media. We reached 16,783 new customers and engaged with 2,030 of them directly leading to $153,134 in sales.

B4Adventure

Challenge: b4ADVENTURE is a Colorado-based company focused on creating “backyard adventures.” They needed Scream to help their name be recognized within Colorado, and then to expand nationally as more and more people heard about their company.

Process: After securing some local love here in Colorado, we took it national with a media tour during the International Toy Fair in New York City where we connected with editors from Real Simple, Shape, Time, Rachel Ray, MTV, and the Today Show. As a follow-up, we pitched the idea of bringing those backyard adventures into everyone’s living room with a “Summer Fun” Today Show segment on the Plaza. The producers loved the idea and b4ADVENTURE was featured on the Today Show complete with kids on ziplines and Willie Geist on a slackline.

Results: 264 million media impressions with a publicity value over $1.1 million.
